There are two certainties when it comes to Flannel Shirts. 1. They are the most comfortable shirts you can wear. 2. They most likely shrink and become cutoffs or rags. The Chagrin Flannels help prevent #2 by being garment washed. And don’t let the buttery soft feel fool you. These heavyweight flannels make fun of lightweight flannels.

Love these shirts. I have a cold season collection of about a half dozen shirts from 2-3 years ago. They hang in my closet all winter and I cycle through them. I wear a base layer underneath so I only wash them about 2-3 timer a season to reduce the wear because I love them so much. Went back to the website today interested in adding to my collection and was disappointed they had gotten rid of all the excellent colors and patterns. Either the brochure does do the hotel justice or they are truly ugly colors. Ochre Check? Blue Gum Plaid? They’re just plain ugly to me. The only ones I would even consider are the Black Oak and Juniper Checks. I already own the Carbon Plaid.

Comfortable and warm flannel. Washes well without too much pilling. Slightly oversized so I can layer a light pullover or even another button-up shirt underneath if I want to. The sleeve cuffs are just a tad narrower than I would like, though. That's the only downside though.

If you want a thick flannel shirt that will stand up to hard work and keep you warm and comfortable, this is the flannel for you. I've got two myself and bought my wife and three of my four kids one. #4 kid is to small or he would own one. Been doing tree work in them for several years now. I've lost a couple buttons but I cut trees for a living so I'm hard on clothing. Get you one!
