Back in 2009 my crew and I were contracted to design and build an ADA accessible Tree-House and Zip Line for a summer camp in Montana that works with children and adults living with cancer. It became more than just a “building” project for me as I had spend the previous 4 months caring for my father as he battled a very aggressive form of cancer that ended up taking his life. Needless to say, I threw myself completely into the project working non-stop for almost 6 weeks (12 hours a day). In the end, hard work & the realization of how much this project would effect in a positive (& fun way), the lives of others living with cancer, I felt a little closer to my own healing process.
