Find the Right Fit

Proper fit is essential for chainsaw protective apparel to provide its intended coverage.

  • Position the waistband securely at your hips.
  • The bottom of the chaps should overlap the top of your boots by approximately 2 inches.
  • Adjust the straps so they are secure without being too tight or too loose.
  • Make sure the chaps remain in place while allowing comfortable movement.

How to Measure Your Inseam

Lay a pair of pants that fits you well on a flat surface and smooth out the fabric. Measure from the front crotch point along the inseam to the bottom hem.

Available Lengths

  • Regular: 30″–32″ inseam
  • Long: 33″–34″ inseam
  • Extra Long: 35″–36″ inseam, available on Calf Wrap styles only
  • Widths: Standard and Wide options are available on Calf Wrap styles

Care Between Wear

Proper cleaning, drying, inspection, and storage help maintain the condition of your chainsaw protective apparel.

Remove Debris

Dirt, sawdust, oil, and other foreign material can interfere with the chainsaw-stopping fibers. Shake out your chaps after use and remove debris from the outer shell.

Keep Them Clean and Dry

Keep your chaps free of soil, moisture, oil, and debris. Wash them according to the care label when needed and allow them to air dry completely before wearing or storing them.

Store Them Properly

Store your chaps in the provided bag in a cool, dry location. Do not leave them in damp trailers or basements, in direct sunlight, or on vehicle dashboards. Keep them away from liquids, oil, and other contaminants.

Inspect Before Every Wear

Check your chaps for:

  • Fabric strain, cuts, rips, holes, or burn marks
  • Loose, exposed, clumped, or dislodged blocking material
  • Built-up dirt, debris, oil, or moisture
  • Discoloration or signs of contamination
  • Sewing, patches, repairs, or modifications
  • Shrinkage or damage caused by improper washing or drying
  • An outer shell that no longer aligns with the protective layers

Do Not Wear Damaged Chaps

Never wear chainsaw protective apparel that:

  • Does not fit properly
  • Needs repair
  • Has loose, damaged, or exposed blocking fibers or layers
  • Has holes or exposed protective material
  • Has shrunk or become misshapen
  • Has been sewn, patched, repaired, or modified
  • Has been contaminated with oil, dirt, moisture, or other substances

Always read and follow the product safety label before use.
