The new and improved version of our Tech Pants with extra breathability plus oil and water resistance. What customers love: "fast-drying; durable; long-lasting; perfect for both working hard and playing hard outdoors." Also available: Tech II Shorts.
It's tough to take a customer favorite pair of pants and make them better... But we did. The Tech II Pants are the new and improved version of our popular Tech Pants. We kept the same incredible 8 oz. nylon fabric and fit, so you can continue your quest to wear these babies out (good luck with that, by the way). However, we contoured both the hand and cargo pockets for easy and ergonomic hand entry, lined the hand pockets with mesh for added breathability and added a Teflon™ fabric protector for oil and water resistance. You're welcome.
• 8 oz. 100% Nylon

• Mesh Pocket Linings For Enhanced Breathability
• Contoured Cargo Pockets
• Double Layer, Articulated Knees
• Quick Drying, UPF 50+ Rating
• Teflon Fabric Protector Repels Most Water and Oil-based Liquids

My tech II pants are probably going on 8 years old now. I hike/backpack and work in them. They are just now starting to lose stitching in the back pocket and the right ankle. The ankle stitching is more a function of getting caught on boots while hiking. Arborwear makes quality, durable products and the staff should be proud of their workmanship.

Tech II Pants: There is no equal. I started with a company a few years ago and we use a uniform company to provide our company uniforms. I couldn’t stand wearing the pants they provided to do the type of work we do! Found out we had approved the Arborwear Tech II Pants... LIFE-CHANGING!

I've only had these about 2 weeks so far, but I absolutely love them. I'm a backcountry ranger by profession, and these pants are perfect for the high mobility, long days of bushwhacking through dense underbrush and some of the moderate trail work I've done so far. Every time I put them on, it feels like I'm putting my pajamas on. They're light, comfortable, the gusset is spot on as usual, and so far they've been more durable than most hiking pants I've worn. The cargo pockets are placed just right for hiking comfortable, but the knife pocket in the right cargo pocket is a little tough to access because of the way its opening faces. The downsides are that they don't breathe very well, maybe a bit less than the original pants. That being said, these are lighter and more comfortable for hiking in. The sizing is just like the original Arborwear pants I have. I'm 5'10 on a good day, and a dense 180-190 pounds. The actual measurement of my waist is ~34.5"; the 34x30 fits like a dream. As I've only had these a week, I can't speak for the durability of them. I will try and remember to come back to leave another review in a couple months.

I love these pants. They show hardly any wear after a year of landscaping and gardening. Do not put them in your dryer even on low as the nylon burns very easily. The Forest Green is a great color and hides stains well. One thing, pet hair sticks like crazy to them. All in all, expensive but long lasting pants if you can remember to always air dry them. I wish they made a lightweight version for summer. These are pretty thick for summers in Pennsylvania.
