We decided to create a truly heavyweight and super warm sweatshirt with two layers of thick, 13 oz. 100% pre-shrunk Cotton Fleece and gusseted armpits for freedom of movement. Snap closures will keep your neck and chin warm while the oversized hood can fit over a hard hat or helmet.

The three button collar is clutch for keeping out drafts, basically a built in neck warmer. Super durable. I wear mine as an outer layer with thermal underneath at 10 degrees if I'm active or with a t-shirt at 20-40 degrees. I've owned mine going on 7 years and wear it A LOT. The black is a little sun faded and the cuffs are starting to fray. Best hoodie.

I am a hoodie junkie. This double thick hoodie is outstanding. The quality of material, the construction, the weight, the fit, I love everything about it. I'm 5'10" 170 lbs 41" chest so the medium is maxed out on me yet very comfortable with a thin T-shirt underneath. A large would likely be acceptable as well. There seemed to be a minimal amount of shrinkage after the second wash and dry.

I can tell you that this is an amazing sweat shirt that has seen some things. I am 5'11 210 lbs and have worn this in February in Michigan while climbing my way upwards 300 feet through a layer of Char and Oil for weeks at a time and never needed a coat to go over it and stay flexible and comfortable. Even after that a quick wash and she was good as new. I have owned this double thick for 4 years now and have never been disappointed.

This thing is THICK! If you are looking for a true heavyweight sweatshirt for the cold weather, this is the one. I was debating between this and a cheaper Carhartt, and I am very glad I paid more and got the Arborwear. I tried on a Carhartt in stores and it doesn't even compare to this. I am 6 feet tall, I currently weigh 260 ish pounds. I am built pretty average. My gut isn't that big but it's there. I bought a Large Tall pullover double thick sweatshirt. That large fits my body perfectly. I wear a wicking layer under the sweatshirt and a lined hooded carhartt vest over it to protect it where I can. I live in MN and can go the whole winter wearing what I mentioned above. Sure if I have to be outside in -50 all day I will replace the vest for something from the same line that has sleeves but that's it. I find it to fit like a glove, perfection. The waist fits snug enough so the winds updraft stays at bay. This is my most favorite sweatshirt I own.

I have had my hoody for awhile now and its ok. I then bought a half zipper which is really nice, but they should put a zipper on the hoodie which would be a lot better, sometimes the snaps pop on it. Just a thought.

I usually wear Tyndale, as they make a hoodie just as thick as this and as nice, but its more expensive as it’s FR. This one is nice but I don’t like the loose waistband at all. I’m 6’3 185 and the waistband is so loose it feels like I’m wearing a Snuggie. Other than that it’s a good cold weather hoodie.

Most clothes nowadays are cheaply made and don't last. This isn't like those others, it's thick, sturdy, and tough. Feels great and warm and fits nice on me after a wash (it does shrink after wash) Don't get it it too dirty because it's hard to wash - well, the washing's easy but the drying takes about 3 days.

Extremely durable, heavy sweatshirt, its my winter coat for most the year. It gets as cold as -20 here, if you layer yourself appropriately underneath, its just as warm as a duck coat. I think i have 6 or so, but only one is tall size. After 3 years, its taken a beating and doesn't wear as nice. Wish i could get another one tall size that wasn't navy :|

Sizing is a little off, these run SMALLER than what you order. I have two 4 XL sized double thick's. I'm 6'4 360 pounds. a little thicker in the gut if you catch my drift. Same size as carharrrt XL-XXL A big bigger than CAT 2XL's And about the same size as under ARMORS 3 XL. So, let me put it like this if i could get a 5XL Tall or 6XL I would be delighted. They are just so thick that they hug my body really well. Best part about these? The hoods are giant, and also double thick. The three buttons, I could see this being a problem for some. But i really enjoy the extra neck room as I often wear blue tooth neck band/ear buds. Pocket is nice and wide and deep. The fabric is warm, and honestly super cozy. Would have several more if I could get them in larger sizes. A bit too tight for casual wear for me, I only wear them on the coldest days ill be out in the weather/non heated buildings.

I bought this last October (2018), got it shipped over to London, got to say this thing is thick and extra toastie. It's on another level to any sweatshirt I've ever bought. Had to pay £36 additinal duty which normally would have sent me crazy but when they handed over the package and I felt the dead weight of it I quickly overlooked the taxes and replaced my Goose down jacket immediately. This is very well made, amazingly warm, and as heavy as advertised. The hood is oversized enough to fit over a hard hat. Unfortunately, there is no drawstring or other way to rein this in. Without a hat underneath, it comes down below my eyes (and I don’t have a problem with other hoodies). Air blows in all around. It is pretty unusable without some kind of hat.

I had never heard of arbor wear until two weeks ago. I saw a double thick sweatshirt on sale at Dick‘s sporting goods and purchased it. Although I am not a tree worker I am a carpenter and this is the best hoodie I have found. I wont wear anything else. Well worth the money if you compare it to the prices of all the other thin hoodies. I have always swore by Carhartt, but now days I go with Arborwear. I work outside all day long as a power generator field tech. I do not like wearing coats due to mobility and I prefer wearing hoodies. But due to NPFA regulations I need to wear 100% cotton or fire retardant clothing. This sweatshirt is perfect so I purchased 2, one black and one brown. First wear, it felt really nice, very soft and heavy enough to use as a coat. I read a lot of review before investing on the sweatshirts. I am 5'7" and 165 lbs, from reading all the reviews I ordered a large. I immediately washed to recommendations on the tag and the sweatshirt feels real good. The only gripe that I have is that waist band is not tight enough, it is loose........if compared to the Carhartt brand. I have using Carhartt sweatshirts for over 10 years and it seems like about 2-3 year, the sleeves start falling apart. Hopefully this sweatshirt will last longer due to the amount of material used.....Again, please make the waist band tighter, the wrist band is perfect for me. Since the sweatshirt has a gusseted armpits, the waist band should be tighter around the waist........hope to see that in the future other than that....all is well.

    hands down the best article of clothing i have ever bought. blows carhartt out of the water. the cost made me hesitate, but i can honestly say that it was 100% worth it. extra thick and warm, button up collar incase you get hot, or if its windy, and the hood is very large. perfect for going over top of my hard hat. i would recommend this to anyone especially anyone in the construction field. arborwear has me as a customer for life

    I work outside all day long as a power generator field tech. I do not like wearing coats due to mobility and I prefer wearing hoodies. But due to NPFA regulations I need to wear 100% cotton or fire retardant clothing. This sweatshirt is perfect so I purchased 2, one black and one brown. First wear, it felt really nice, very soft and heavy enough to use as a coat. I read a lot of review before investing on the sweatshirts. I am 5’7″ and 165 lbs, from reading all the reviews I ordered a large. I immediately washed to recommendations on the tag and the sweatshirt feels real good. The only gripe that I have is that waist band is not tight enough, it is loose……..if compared to the Carhartt brand. I have using Carhartt sweatshirts for over 10 years and it seems like about 2-3 year, the sleeves start falling apart. Hopefully this sweatshirt will last longer due to the amount of material used…..Again, please make the waist band tighter, the wrist band is perfect for me. Since the sweatshirt has a gusseted armpits, the waist band should be tighter around the waist……..hope to see that in the future other than that….all is well.

    This is very well made, amazingly warm, and as heavy as advertised. The hood is oversized enough to fit over a hard hat. Unfortunately, there is no drawstring or other way to rein this in. Without a hat underneath, it comes down below my eyes (and I don’t have a problem with other hoodies). Air blows in all around. It is pretty unusable without some kind of hat.

    I bought this last October (2018), got it shipped over to London, got to say this thing is thick and extra toastie. It’s on another level to any sweatshirt I’ve ever bought. Had to pay £36 additinal duty which normally would have sent me crazy but when they handed over the package and I felt the dead weight of it I quickly overlooked the taxes and replaced my Goose down jacket immediately.     Sizing is a little off, these run SMALLER than what you order.
    I have two 4 XL sized double thick’s. I’m 6’4 360 pounds. a little thicker in the gut if you catch my drift.
    Same size as carharrrt XL-XXL
    A big bigger than CAT 2XL’s
    And about the same size as under ARMORS 3 XL.

    So, let me put it like this if i could get a 5XL Tall or 6XL I would be delighted. They are just so thick that they hug my body really well.

    Best part about these? The hoods are giant, and also double thick. The three buttons, I could see this being a problem for some. But i really enjoy the extra neck room as I often wear blue tooth neck band/ear buds.
    Pocket is nice and wide and deep. The fabric is warm, and honestly super cozy.

    Would have several more if I could get them in larger sizes. A bit too tight for casual wear for me, I only wear them on the coldest days ill be out in the weather/non heated buildings.

    Get a size or 2 bigger than your usual. 6’3” 280(ish) and got a 3XL. Still a wee bit taught around the midsec, but that keeps it manageable under a Carhartt vest. Couple those 2 items and no longer need a winter jacket even in the coldest conditions!

    Extremely durable, heavy sweatshirt, its my winter coat for most the year. It gets as cold as -20 here, if you layer yourself appropriately underneath, its just as warm as a duck coat. I think i have 6 or so, but only one is tall size. After 3 years, its taken a beating and doesn’t wear as nice. Wish i could get another one tall size that wasn’t navy 😐

    Most clothes nowadays are cheaply made and don’t last. This isn’t like those others, it’s thick, sturdy, and tough. Feels great and warm and fits nice on me after a wash (it does shrink after wash) Don’t get it it too dirty because it’s hard to wash – well, the washing’s easy but the drying takes about 3 days.

    I usually wear Tyndale, as they make a hoodie just as thick as this and as nice, but its more expensive as it’s FR. This one is nice but I don’t like the loose waistband at all. I’m 6’3 185 and the waistband is so loose it feels like I’m wearing a Snuggie. Other than that it’s a good cold weather hoodie.

    I have had my hoody for awhile now and its ok. I then bought a half zipper which is really nice, but they should put a zipper on the hoodie which would be a lot better, sometimes the snaps pop on it. Just a thought.

    I’m 6’1 and 200lbs the XL fits great, on the loose side which is perfect and the torso is slim fit so i dont look like a bowling ball haha… It’s nice and heavy, super warm and the hood is fantastic: no drawstrings flopping around and with all the buttons done up it keeps my neck warm… the perfect sweatshirt for the gym too!

    I am 6 feet tall, I currently weigh 260 ish pounds. I am built pretty average. My gut isn’t that big but it’s there. I bought a Large Tall pullover double thick sweatshirt. That large fits my body perfectly. I wear a wicking layer under the sweatshirt and a lined hooded carhartt vest over it to protect it where I can. I live in MN and can go the whole winter wearing what I mentioned above. Sure if I have to be outside in -50 all day I will replace the vest for something from the same line that has sleeves but that’s it.
    I find it to fit like a glove, perfection. The waist fits snug enough so the winds updraft stays at bay.
    This is my most favorite sweatshirt I own.

    I can tell you that this is an amazing sweat shirt that has seen some things. I am 5’11 210 lbs and have worn this in February in Michigan while climbing my way upwards 300 feet through a layer of Char and Oil for weeks at a time and never needed a coat to go over it and stay flexible and comfortable. Even after that a quick wash and she was good as new. I have owned this double thick for 4 years now and have never been disappointed.

    I am a hoodie junkie.
    This double thick hoodie is outstanding.
    The quality of material, the construction, the weight, the fit, I love everything about it.
    I’m 5’10” 170 lbs 41″ chest so the medium is maxed out on me yet very comfortable with a thin T-shirt underneath. A large would likely be acceptable as well.
    There seemed to be a minimal amount of shrinkage after the second wash and dry.

    The three button collar is clutch for keeping out drafts, basically a built in neck warmer. Super durable. I wear mine as an outer layer with thermal underneath at 10 degrees if I’m active or with a t-shirt at 20-40 degrees. I’ve owned mine going on 7 years and wear it A LOT. The black is a little sun faded and the cuffs are starting to fray. Best hoodie.

    Finally a hood that fits my long neck and large head!! Although it will fit over a helmet it is the only hoody i have found thus far
    in life that covers my entire head. No hooded sweatshirt has ever before covered my whole head. Carhartt by contrast will only cover
    1/3 of my head and i have to pick a size down. The body could be a little more trim fitting but
    over all i am very happy. Seems well made and warm. Fits true to size in the arms and a little loose in the body. I am 6’4 160lb and very athletic body type.
