These pants last longer than any others. All normal construction pants are shredded after one summer of climbing. These not only out last all other pants I have worn, but protect your legs from rough bark better than a suit of armor. Here is a pic of me wearing them during a large oak removal on Goguac Lake in SW Michigan. On this job there was no access to the street (without climbing 150 steps), so all of the material was loaded onto a barge and floated to the public boat launch to be processed.
