Customer Service Team Member

Arborwear is looking for a new customer service team member reporting to the customer service manager.

You must have solid work experience in at least one of the following areas:

  1. Customer Service (3-5 years), having direct contact with customers on the phone, email and in person. Maintaining a positive attitude, enjoying working with people and problem solving. Working in a close knit group of people where your personality shines through not only to customers but also fellow teammates.
  2. Data Entry (3-5 years), strong computer skills imperative! Good typing skills, entering data, processing orders, managing workflow on a day to day basis. Microsoft Excel proficiency / experience a plus.
  3. Promotional products/custom printed apparel experience (1-2 years)
  4. Inside Sales / Account Rep (2-5 years), selling directly to customers over the phone and in person. Working in a niche industry, learning a customer base, analyzing sales trends and helping grow a territory. Working alongside Outside Sales Reps to grow accounts.

Planning & Sourcing Coordinator

Arborwear is looking for someone to join our Sourcing team! As the Planning & Sourcing Coordinator, you play a big role in bringing Arborwears mission to life by buying and delivering top quality product. This role requires a self-motivated individual that pays close attention to detail, is passionate and ready to learn. You will be responsible for the coordinating and executing of the production plan for Arborwear apparel from placement of orders through delivery of product to our warehouse. You will be supporting the Sourcing Manager across three sectors: planning, purchasing and sourcing.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Planning / Purchasing:
  • Receive and track costs, MOQs and lead times
  • Analyze sales & stock levels to make the best purchasing decisions
  • Build out buy quantities across styles/colors/sizes
  • PO management; PO placement and maintenance in our ERP system such as cost updates, style adjustments, UPC code creation
  • Negotiate time and actions and ensure the timelines make sense to product category lead times and seasonality
  • Project and manage fabric positions
  • Monitor fabric ownership and liability utilization; report to manager on usage & risk
  • Work closely with Product Development to help ensure sourcing deadlines are met
  • Miscellaneous projects as needed
Sourcing:
  • Manage and review vendor WIPs to ensure production deadlines are being met and an on time delivery
  • Communicate with international and domestic vendors and suppliers through e-mail and conference calls
  • Make all PO shipment bookings with our freight brokers to asses best options regarding cost, delivery and routes
  • Manage and update all necessary departmental files such as vendor & supplier invoices, packing lists and BOLs
  • Assess vendor/quality risk and opportunity for the area alongside the Sourcing Manager
  • Work with accounting team to set up new vendors in our system
  • Miscellaneous projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to take direction, be proactive, and have effective problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Team player with strong collaborative approach
  • Strong analytical abilities and proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel and web based tools)
  • An understanding of the apparel industry is preferred

Product Development Intern

This internship opportunity will provide a comprehensive experience with exposure to all our day-to-day development processes, working closely with our Designer/Developers and gain on the job training and mentorship. The program will encourage the intern to think both strategically and creatively, while focusing in on the process that enable Arborwear to deliver honest, hardworking clothing to our customers.

Summary & Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

This internship opportunity will provide a comprehensive experience with exposure to all our day-to-day development processes, working closely with our Designer/Developers and gain on the job training and mentorship.   • Attend various meetings to understand the full product development lifecycle – from design & development to production.
  • Assist with our PLM software and Tech packs, including creating & editing technical sketches
  • Actively participate in product reviews and technical fittings

  • Support and prep for digital presentations
  • Participate in day-to-day projects as needed
  • Assist with seasonal development binders and organize sample materials and trials
  • Update Development Materials Library
  • Assist with Sourcing materials as needed

Education/Major:

  • Currently enrolled student in Design or Technical Design.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Students on a Design, Development or Technical track only
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Team Player: Ability to work and coordinate with team members & company with positive attitude
  • Strong understanding of apparel design
  • Strong working knowledge of garment construction
  • Portfolio with flat technical and/or croquis sketches
  • Must be able to work required hours each week of the Semester
  • Ability to learn quickly, multitask and work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Microsoft office; Photoshop a plus
